Growth form Epiphyte, up to 5.5 cm high. Rhizome not seen. Roots long, filiform, flexible, glabrous. Stem branched, slender,  proliferously leafed, completely covered by leaf sheaths, internodes 2.1 cm long. Leaf  linear-lanceolate, gradually narrowed towards the apex, 0.27-1.25 cm below apex sometimes on one side abruptly dilated and narrowed again, above on either side of the median grooved longitudinally, slightly wrinkled, convex below, sparsely impressed punctate; apex strongly obliquely narrowly obtuse; base shortly petiolate-contracted, narrowed; lamina 1.4-3.9 cm long, 0.23-0.37 cm wide; sheath surpassing the internodes, tubular, laterally compressed, in cross section elliptic, not keeled, longitudinally with slightly raised ribs, warty on apex; apex with tooth, with bristled margin, bristles appressed, up to 0.17 cm wide. Inflorescences terminal, one-flowered, when young enveloped by a spathe. Spathe not seen; floral bracts not seen. Flowers upright, glabrous, 1.2 cm long. Median sepal narrowly oblong, flat, 3-nerved, apex shortly acute, shortly obtusely apiculate, 1 cm long, 0.35 cm wide. Lateral sepals narrowly oblong, somewhat falcate, front margin at base dilated into a shortly rounded concave lobe that is appressed to and as long as the spur, shortly fused, concave, 3-nerved, apex obtuse, obtusely verruculose-apiculate, 0.9 cm long, along front margin 0.95 cm long, 0.3 cm wide, across the basal lobe 0.4 cm wide. Petal obliquely spathulate, from oblong claw gradually dilated, apex obtuse, concave, 3-nerved, 1 cm long, claw 0.28 cm long, 0.17 cm wide, blade 0.73 cm long, 0.5 cm wide. Lip 5-angled-suborbicular, surpassing the column, porrect, base shortly adnate to the column, margins erect, strongly concave, thickened, 7-nerved, 0.5 cm long, with small, longitudinally convex, warty ribbed, 0.43 cm long, free part 0.33 cm long, 0.4 cm wide; epichile obtusely triangular-acuminate; hypochile spurred; spur tightly appressed to and shorter than the ovary, conical-cylindrical, broadly obtuse, dorsally channeled, 0.28 cm long. Column curved, apex recurved, dorsally narrowly convex, weakly ribbed, 0.24 cm long, basal part adnate to the lip; clinandrium deeply hollow, triangular, dorsal margin triangular dentate; stelidia tooth-like. Anther not seen; pollinia not seen; rostellum not seen; stigma not seen; viscidium not seen. Ovary cylindrical, 3-grooved, glabrous, 0.63 cm long. Capsule not seen.

Distribution –Indonesia.

Habitat and Ecology - Epiphyte in upper montane forest. Altitude 1800 m. Flowering in September in the wild.

Notes -  1. Flowers white with black lip tip.

2. The epithet pleiotricha refers to the bristled margin of the leaf sheaths (pleio- means multiple and tricha means hairs in Latin).
