Growth form Epiphyte, slender, up to 70 cm high. Rhizome not seen. Roots filiform, flexible, glabrous. Stem branched, slender, compressed, slightly rigid, proliferously leafed, completely covered by leaf sheaths. Leaf linear-lanceolate, erect-patent; apex strongly oblique, subacute; base cuneate; lamina 8-12 cm long, 0.7-1 cm wide; sheath tubular, striate, shiny, wrinkled, 1.5-2.5 cm long; apex with tooth, tooth warty, with glabrous margin. Inflorescences terminal, many-flowered, nodding, sub-globose, 2-2.5 cm in diameter, when young enveloped by a spathe. Spathe broad, apiculate; floral bracts transparent. Flowers upright, glabrous. Median sepal ovate-lanceolate, subacute, 0.7 cm long, 0.28 cm wide. Lateral sepals oblique, apiculate, fused up to below the apex, base cucullate-concave, 0.61 cm long, 0.35 cm wide for both sepals. Petal obliquely oblong-ligulate, obtuse, 0.6 cm long, 0.25 cm wide. Lip oblong-quadrate, 0.25 cm long, 0.2 cm wide; epichile truncate; hypochile spurred; spur sub-globose, 0.2 cm long, 0.25 cm wide. Column 0.18 cm long, glabrous; clinandrium 3-lobed, lateral lobes arm-like, obliquely quadrate, median irregularly few-dentate; stelidia not seen. Anther broadly helmet-shaped, obtuse projection, glabrous, retuse, 0.19 cm long, 0.17 cm wide; pollinia 4, pear-shaped, 0.16 cm long, 0.06 cm wide; stigma  not seen; viscidium present. Ovary cylindrical, glabrous, 0.7 cm long Capsule not seen.

Distribution – Papua New Guinea.

Habitat and Ecology - Epiphyte in montane forest. Altitude 1000 m. Flowering in May in the wild.

Notes - 1. Flowers white with vermillion in the tip of the lip. Anther brown with white humps.
