Growth form Terrestrial, erect, slightly branched, up to 50 cm high. Rhizome ca. 1-2 mm in diameter. Roots filiform, flexible, glabrous. Stem cylindrical, glabrous, proliferously leafed, completely covered by leaf sheaths, internodes 0.4-1 cm long. Leaf linear, subcoriaceous, glabrous, widened in basal part, midrib slightly grooved above, prominent below, lateral nerves 1-2 on either side of midrib, not visible above, slightly prominent below; margin wavy, thin, irregularly crenulate mainly in apical part; apex unequal 2-lobed, shorter subacute in apical leaves, but obtuse in the lower ones, longer rounded; base petiole-like narrowed; lamina 1-2.5 cm long, 0.2-0.3 cm wide; sheath tubular, tight, many-ribbed, warty mainly on the ribs; apex toothed, with bristled margin, bristles 0.1-0.3 cm long. Inflorescences terminal, one-flowered, when young enveloped by a spathe. Spathe obovoid-cylindrical, glabrous, punctate, scattered warty mainly on the ribs, 9-nerved, apex obliquely truncate, acuminate, 0.8 cm long, 0.5-0.7 cm wide; floral bracts transparent, thin, obovoid-cylindrical, 1-nerved, less punctate, 0.85 cm long, 0.55 cm wide. Flowers upright, glabrous. Median sepal oblong, 3-nerved at base, 9-nerved in higher parts, margin wavy, glabrous, apex subabruptly narrowed, subacute, 1.4 cm long, 0.4 cm wide. Lateral sepals enclosing the spur, falcate-oblong-ovate, 5-nerved, apex subabruptly narrowed, apiculate, 1-1.3 cm long, 0.3-0.4 cm wide; mentum boat shaped, oblong, 0.2 cm long, 0.2 cm wide rounded. Petal obliquely spathulate, 3-nerved at base, 9-nerved in higher parts, margin wavy, apex obtuse, 1.25-1.6 cm long, 0.45-0.6 cm wide. Lip adnate to the column, free part ovate-orbicular, 3-lobed, 7-nerved, 0.3-0.4 cm long, 0.3-0.4 cm wide; epichile rounded, with brown glands on inside in apical quadrangle, on underside with hairs; hypochile spurred; spur obliquely conoid, glabrous, apex rounded, 0.3-0.35 cm long, 0.2 cm wide. Column curved, 0.2 cm long, 0.2 cm wide; column foot present; clinandrium dentate; stelidia not seen. Anther cucullate, obtuse projection, retuse at base, connective bigibbose, 0.1 cm long, 0.1 cm wide, pollinia 4, pear-shaped, 0.07 cm long; stigma  not seen; viscidium not seen. Ovary narrowly oblong-obovoid, glabrous, 3-ribbed, 0.72-0.9 cm long, 0.2 cm wide. Capsule not seen.

Distribution – Indonesia.

Habitat and Ecology - Terrestrial in upper montane forest of Mt. Wilhelmina. Altitude 3440 m. Flowering in September in the wild.

Notes -  1. Flowers green.

2. The epithet crispa refers to the wavy margin of the petals and median sepal of the species (crispa- means curly or wavy in Latin).
