Growth form Epiphyte. Rhizome not seen. Roots filiform, flexible, glabrous. Stem branched, slender, cylindric, 0.1 cm in diameter. Leaf subulate, narrowed towards the apex, above on either side of the grooved midrib convex, carnose; apex obtuse; base shortly petiolate; lamina 0.5-1.5 cm long, 0.13-0.18 cm wide; sheath tubular, ribbed-veined, warty; apex toothed, with glabrous margin. Inflorescences terminal, one-flowered, when young enveloped by a spathe. Spathe convolute, clasping each other and the spur, inflated, obtuse, retuse, somewhat squamulose, membranous, 0.7 cm long; floral bracts transparent, thin. Flowers upright, glabrous, 1 cm wide, widely opening. Median sepal oblong-obovate, concave, at base 3-nerved, apex obtuse, conical-apiculate, 0.65 cm long, 0.28 cm wide. Lateral sepals falcate-oblong, concave, at base 3-nerved, apex obtuse, long conical-apiculate, base obliquely dilated, clasping the spur, 0.63 cm long, 0.25 cm wide. Petal  oblong-obovate, concave, 3-nerved, apex rounded, particularly the upper margin incurved, 0.63 cm long, 0.25 cm wide. Lip at base adnate to the column, blade clasping the column, cucullate, when flattened transversely elliptic-triangular, sub rhombic, broadly obtuse, 0.3 cm long, 0.38 cm wide, in total 0.55 cm long; epichile indistinctly 3-lobed, lobes rounded, with brown glands; hypochile abruptly thickened, spurred; spur appressed to the ovary, conical-cylindrical, obtuse, 0.28 cm long. Column lower half adnate to the lip, curved, 0.23 cm long; clinandrium margin indistinctly dentate; stelidia triangular. Anther cucullate, at base truncate, apex recurved, rounded; rostellum prominent, broad, truncate; pollinia 4, obovoid; stigma  semiorbicular, lower margin elongated, recurved; viscidium not seen. Ovary cylindrical, 6-ribbed, 0.45 cm long Capsule not seen.

Distribution – Indonesia.

Habitat and Ecology - Epiphyte in upper montane forest in shaded positions. Altitude 1800-2577 m. Flowering in March and October in the wild.

Notes - 1. Flowers white.

2. The epithet latilinguis refers to the broad lip of the species (lati means broad in Latin and linguis means lip)
