Glomera conglutinata J.J.Sm., Bull. Jard. Bot. Buitenzorg 2(2):3 (1911)- Type :  de Kock 55 (holotype, maybe in BO?)

Growth form Terrestrial. Rhizome not seen. Roots filiform, long, flexible, glabrous. Stem branched, filiform, cylindrical, proliferously leafed, completely covered by leaf sheaths, internodes of the primary stem 1.3 cm long, of the branches up to 0.18 cm long. Leaf subulate, rather widely patent, curved, above convex with a longitudinal groove, convex below, carnose; apex obtuse, slightly contracted; base petiolate, contracted; lamina 0.45-1 cm long, 0.07 cm wide; sheath surpassing internodes, tubular, angular, warty; apex toothed or without tooth, with bristled margin. Inflorescences terminal, one-flowered, when young enveloped by a spathe. Spathe clasping the ovary and the spur, tubular at base, cucullate, nerves dorsally prominent, membranous, apex acuminate, weakly keeled, 0.55 cm long; floral bracts thin, transparent, apex subulate-acuminate, 0.38 cm long. Flowers upright, glabrous, thin-textured, 1.35 cm long, 0.95 cm wide. Median sepal oblong, erect, concave, 3-nerved, 0.77 cm long, 0.28 cm wide; apex obtuse, subulate-apiculate. Lateral sepals almost entirely fused, falcate-oblong, 3-nerved, 0.7 cm long, 0.28 cm wide; apex obtuse, long subulate-apiculate; above the base free for a short distance and clasping the spur. Petal obliquely oblong to subobovate, obliquely patent, concave, 3-nerved, 0.7 cm long, 0.3 cm wide; apex broadly obtuse. Lip transversely elliptic, surpassing the column and at base adnate to the column, cucullate, concave, indistinctly 3-lobed, 5-nerved, 0.43 cm long, to apex of ovary 0.33 cm long; epichile lateral lobes erect, rounded, concave, midlobe very small, semi-orbicular, with brown glands, front margin somewhat thickened, 0.24 cm long, 0.38 cm wide, part adnate to the column 0.05 cm; hypochile spurred; spur pointing backwards, conical, obtuse, dorsally concave, 0.14 cm long. Column 0.18 cm long, dorsally convex, contracted below the apex, column-foot almost absent; clinandrium dentate; stelidia tooth-like. Anther cucullate, in outline transversely quadrangular, apex recurved, rounded, in the basal part shortly conical-thickened, at base retuse; rostellum slightly surpassing the auricles, bilobed; stigma funnel-shaped, lower margin strongly elongated; pollinia not seen; viscidium absent. Ovary slightly sigmoid, 3-grooved, 0.48 cm long. Capsule not seen.

Distribution – Indonesia.

Habitat and Ecology - Terrestrial in upper montane forest. Altitude 1100-3000 m. Flowering in February, March, May, and September in the wild.

Notes -  1. Flowers white with brown ornamentation on the tip of the lip.

2. The epithet conglutinata refers to the fused lateral sepals of the species (conglutinata means glued together in Latin)

3. Specimen observed: drawing by Schlechter of de Kock 55.
