Growth form Terrestrial, scrambling herb. Rhizome 1 mm in diameter. Root filiform, flexible, glabrous. Stem much branched, slender, glabrous, internodes 0.2-0.8 cm long. Leaf lanceolate-ovate to linear-ovate, patent, glabrous, coriaceous, midrib grooved above, crested below, lateral nerves one on either side of midrib but visible on underside only and markedly crested; apex obtuse, dorsoventrally flattened; lamina 0.6-1.6 cm long, 0.1 cm wide; sheath tight, tubular, warty mainly on the ribs; apex toothed, with bristled margin, bristle 0.1-0.15 cm long, bristles very sparsely finely warty or glabrous, ribbed. Inflorescences terminal, one-flowered, when young enveloped by a spathe. Spathe obovoid-tubular, transparent, glabrous, 3-nerved, scattered warty mainly on the nerves, with brown dots, 0.9 cm long, 0.6 cm wide, apex acuminate; floral bracts obovoid, thin, transparent, glabrous, 5-6-nerved, with brown dots, apex obtuse, apiculate. Flower upside down. Median sepal linear, 3-nerved at base, 5-nerved in higher parts, 1.2-1.8 cm long, 0.25-0.30 cm wide; apex subacute; base ovate. Lateral sepal linear, free, glabrous, 5-nerved, 1.8-1.92 cm long, 0.3-0.33 cm wide; apex obtuse; base oblong obtuse appendage, 8-nerved. Petals oblong-elliptic, glabrous, 5-nerved, with silver dots, 1.4-1.5 cm long, 0.2-0.25 cm wide; apex obtuse. Lip broadly ovate-rhombic, adnate to the base of the column, 0.3-0.35 cm long, 0.3-0.4 cm wide; epichile 3-lobed, mid-lobe obtuse, with brown glands on inside and along the margin, thickened at tip, 5-nerved; hypochile spurred; spur clavate, glabrous, 1.5 cm long, 0.15 cm wide, dorsally compressed, apex 2-lobed. Column curved, without column foot, 0.2-0.38 cm long, 0.2 cm wide; clinandrium erose-lobed. Anther not seen. Ovary narrowly oblong-clavate, glabrous, 3-ribbed, 1.5 cm long, 0.15 cm wide. Capsule not seen.
Distribution –Indonesia.
Habitat and Ecology – Terrestrial in upper montane forest along lake Habbema. Altitude 3325 m. Flowering time in the wild not known.
Notes - 1. Flowers brownish pink.
