Growth form Terrestrial, erect, slender, branched mainly in apical parts with short up to 5 cm long flowering branches, up to 35 cm high. Rhizome 1-2 mm in diameter. Root filiform, flexible, glabrous. Stem cylindric, glabrous, slightly flexuose in apical part, internodes 0.30-0.40 cm long. Leaf elliptic-ovate, coriaceous, glabrous, patent to spreading, flat or slightly V-shaped in cross section, midrib grooved above, prominent on either side but less so above than below; apex obliquely or sometimes unequally 2-lobed; base narrowed; lamina 0.5-0.8 cm long, 0.2-0.4 cm wide; sheath tight, tubular, scattered warty, many-ribbed, 0.3-0.7 cm long, in lower parts stem up to 2 cm long; apex toothed, slightly obliquely truncate at tip, with bristled margin, bristle straight or flexuose, 0.1-0.2 cm long. Inflorescences terminal, one-flowered, when young enveloped by a spathe; peduncle 0.1 cm long, glabrous. Spathe obliquely truncate, cylindrical, transparent, 0.8-1 cm long, 0.3-0.4 cm wide, 5-nerved, midrib subcarinate and surpassing the tip, rather densely papillate-warty with elongate papillae, apex obtuse; floral bracts obliquely truncate, thin, transparent, very sparsely papillate-warty, apex subacute, 1.5 cm long, 0.4 cm wide, 5-nerved. Flower upright, with peduncle; peduncle 0.1 cm long, glabrous. Median sepal oblong-elliptic, 3-nerved at base, 9-nerved in higher parts, margin in apical half involute, 1-1.2 cm long, 0.4-0.5 cm wide; apex obtuse. Lateral sepal subfalcate-oblong or oblong-elliptic, 3-nerved at base, 8-nerved in higher parts, midrib on outside slightly raised, 1.2 cm long, 0.5 cm wide; apex subulate-apiculate, cucullate; base free, oblong, appendage 0.2 cm long, 0.1 cm wide. Petals not seen. Lip broadly cordate-ovate, 3-lobed, adnate to the base of the column, 0.2 cm long, 0.3 cm wide; epichile subretuse, midlobe with brown glands along the margin, ribbed above, grooved below; hypochile spurred; spur conoid, 0.15 cm long, obtuse. Column curved, without/without column foot;  clinandrium dentate. Anther 1 or 2, if one this is median, if 2 then lateral with a long oblong appendage between them, each broadly ovoid-quadrangular, 0.08 cm long, 0.1 cm wide, retuse, base 2-lobed, connective umbonate; pollinia 2, pear-shaped, 0.1 cm long. Ovary narrowly falcate, glabrous, 5-ribbed, each rib double one, 1.4 cm long, 0.2 cm wide. Capsule ellipsoid-ovoid, brown, 1-1.2 cm long, 0.5 cm wide.
