Glomera sandaveri Ormerod, Malesian Orchid J. 16:66(2015) –Type: L.A. Craven & R. Schodde 1129 (holotype A)
Growth form Epiphyte. Rhizome not seen. Roots not seen. Stem semi-compressed, elliptic in cross section, laxly 8-leaved, 17 cm long, 0.3-0.9 cm wide, internode 2.3-3 cm long. Leaf thinly leathery, ligulate-lanceolate; apex unequal 2-lobe, both obtuse; lamina 17.2-20 cm long, 1.7-2.4 cm wide; sheath tubular, obliquely truncate, glabrous and finely striate when dried; apex without tooth, with glabrous margin. Inflorescences terminal, subglobose, many-flowered, 1.2 cm long, 3.5 cm wide, when young covered by spathe. Spathe not seen; floral bracts lanceolate, apex acute, 2.5-2.6 cm long, 9.6 cm wide. Flowers upright, glabrous. Median sepal oblong-lanceolate, 0.95 cm long, 0.34 cm wide, apex acute, thickened, 5-nerved. Lateral sepals obliquely oblong-elliptic, weakly falcate, 0.8 cm long, 0.33 cm wide, base connate for 0.5 cm long form a synsepal suborbicular, 0.8 cm long, 0.6-0.7 cm enclose the spur, apex subacute, 5-6-nerved. Petal oblong-ligulate, 0.9 cm long, 0.26-0.27 cm wide, weakly falcate, apex subacute to obtuse, 3-nerved with branched lateral veins. Lip entire, subquadrate, 9-nerved, joined to column for 0.12 cm, 0.28 cm long, 0.28 cm wide; epichile obtuse; hypochile spurred; spur semi-ellipsoid, 0.1 cm long, 0.2 cm wide, apex obtuse. Column semi cylindrical, 0.32 cm long, with column foot; clinandrium ovate, acute; stelidia not seen. Anther not seen; rostellum not seen; stigma not seen; pollinia not seen; viscidium not seen. Ovary slender, 1 cm long. Capsule not seen.

Habitat and Ecology - Epiphyte in montane forest of Haumga, Aseki Patrol Area, Morobe. Altitude 1785-1830 m. Flowering time April in the wild.
