Glomera kamay-nolomi Ormerod, Malesian Orchid J. 16:60(2015) –Type: G. Weiblin, M. Evans, B. Isua & S, Majned 1056 (holotype A)
Growth form Epiphyte. Rhizome not seen. Roots cylindrical, wiry, 0.05-0.1 cm thick. Stem subcylindrical, rather laxly many-leaved, 28-42 cm long, 0.2-0.45 cm wide, with numerous 3-5-leaved, branchlets 1.5-3.5 cm long by 0.2 cm wide that each arise from a node opposite the leaf lamina, each branchlets curves across the stem but in the opposite direction to the one before it, internodes 0.55-1.2 cm long, on branchlets 0.15-0.4 cm long. Leaf stiffly leathery, lanceolate; apex unequal 2-lobe, both lobes obtuse; lamina 1.6-2.2 cm long, 0.36-0.6 cm wide; sheath tubular, truncate, transversely warty; apex without tooth, with glabrous margin. Inflorescences terminal, 6-flowered, seemingly without spathe and floral bracts. Spathe not seen; floral bracts not seen. Flowers upright, glabrous. Median sepal ovate-elliptic, lower margin sometimes partly united to lateral sepals, apex subacute, 3-nerved, 0.38 cm long, 0.28 cm wide. Lateral sepals obliquely elliptic, 0.39 cm long, 0.29-0.3 cm wide (0.3 cm long along upper margin) apex subacute, 3-4-nerved, base formed synsepal deeply retuse that forms 0.15 cm long enclosure of the spur. Petal obovate, 0.38-0.39 cm long by 0.21 cm wide, apex obtuse, 3-5-nerved. Lip entire, widely ovate, joined to column for 0.05 cm, 0.13 cm long, 0.18 cm wide, with apically thickened midnerve, 9-nerved; epichile obtuse; hypochile spurred; spur ellipsoid-obovoid, 0.15 cm long, 0.18 cm wide, apex obtuse. Column slightly arched, 0.19 cm long, with column foot; clinandrium deltate, apex acute; stelidia not seen. Anther not seen; rostellum not seen; stigma not seen; pollinia not seen; viscidium not seen. Ovary clavate, 0.48 cm long. Capsule not seen.
Distribution – Papua New Guinea
Habitat and Ecology - Epiphyte in montane forest of Kaironk village, Madang Province. Altitude 2200-2400 m. Flowering time July in the wild.
Notes - 1. Flower white, with black lip tip.
